About the Book
This book includes every translated excerpt, from every parish register researched, on every individual in the first five generations of the Kohel family, that was extracted from the Státní Oblastní Archiv (State Regional Archives) in Plzen, Czech Republic.
This book places special emphasis on our earliest ancestors, and their genealogical records dating back to the early-17th Century. From our ancestors humble beginnings as serfs, working the land in servitude to their lord, to their settlement in America, this book references over 4,250 individuals, representing up to fourteen generations, on not only the Kohel family, but also several related families including, but not limited to, the families of: Auclair, Ferguson, Grube, Hörz and Panzer.
This beautiful hardcover book, with hand-sewn binding and marker ribbon, has 400 pages printed on acid-free, 70# coated paper with a matte finish. This high quality paper allows for the best possible photographic reproduction and lasting preservation. Over 110 photographs, maps, documents, charts and illustrations compliment our history along with several comprehensive Genealogy (Register) Reports. As a final compliment to this book, the colored end sheets are sections of historic maps that depict the villages of the earliest ancestors of the Kohel family.
